In light of the #MeToo movement, it has become clear that we need new rules of conduct both in the workplace and in the private sphere. While rules against sexual harassment in the workplace have been in place for decades, the culture of shame, secrecy, and exploitation has rendered the rules largely ineffective in protecting employees against predatory behavior. Thanks to social media, a paradigm shift has occurred and a large number of victims have been able to come forward with their stories, exposing the systematic use and acceptance of sexual harassment. This critical panel discussion engages artistes and writers on the need for a new code of conduct that creates a safe and supportive workplace environment and addresses the culture of harassment.
