Ranjit Hoskote is a leading Anglophone Indian poet, and has been acclaimed as a seminal contributor to Indian art criticism. He is the author of more than 30 books including, most recently,Jonahwhale (Penguin / Hamish Hamilton, 2018). His translation of the 14th-century Kashmiri mystic Lal Ded has been published as I, Lalla: The Poems of Lal Ded (Penguin Classics, 2011), which won the Sahitya Akademi award. Hoskote is the editor of Dom Moraes: Selected Poems (Penguin Modern Classics, 2012). He is Poetry Editor for DOMUS India and writes a monthly column, ‘Lost and Found Histories’, for OPEN Magazine.
